The Syrian Embassy in Moscow calls on the community to show solidarity with those affected in Syria

Moscow (ST): The Syrian Embassy in Russia called for solidarity with those affected in Syria by the earthquake, which resulted in hundreds of victims.

The embassy said in a statement: “To embody the national unity among the people of our country, and to face the repercussions of the earthquake that struck Syria, which caused the death of hundreds of victims and the wounding and displacement of thousands of them, our embassy calls on all members of our community in the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States to show solidarity with those affected, and to contribute with financial donations or in kind so that the embassy can send it to Syria in the fastest and shortest possible way to alleviate their suffering.”

An expanded meeting was held at the embassy with some members of the community, and a joint mini-committee was formed from the embassy and the community to manage the collection of in-kind and cash donations.
