On July 19th, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent received a shipment of cancer treatment drugs with a weight of 866 kg, which arrived on board an aid plane to Damascus International Airport, provided by the United Arab Emirates.

The Chargé d’Affairs of the Emirati embassy in Damascus, Abdel Hakim Al -Nuaimi, indicated in a statement that the shipment of aid is provided by the “Mother of the Emirates” Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, and comes in the context of the continuous support of the Emirates for the brotherly Syrian people who have suffered from the terrorist war for 12 years and from the devastating earthquake.

For his part, Deputy Secretary -General for Local Affairs of the Emirati Red Crescent, Rashid Mubarak Al -Mansouri, stressed that the “Jisr Al-Khair” (Bridge of Good) is still continuing from the United Arab Emirates to Syria, especially to those affected by the earthquake.

In turn, the director of the logistical administration in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Kharrat, stated that the received shipment is 866 kilograms of cancer drugs, pointing out that it is not the first shipment sent by the UAE.
