The Syria Trust for Development and the Growth Technology Incubator launch the “Syrian Applications Race” project

Aiming to support programmers, app developers and young entrepreneurs in Syria and enhance their ability to employ technology for the development of their communities and in line with the great development in the world, the Syria Trust for Development and the Technology Growth Incubator launched the “Syrian Applications Race” project, the first of its kind in Syria.

The race supports software developers who are complete software owners in the process of establishing their own companies and entering the entrepreneurial labour market properly and appropriately as well as encouraging them to develop new applications by encouraging greater participation and accepting more successful applications in each round.

It also seeks to increase their opportunities to create their entrepreneurial projects by providing appropriate care to turn a number of applications into entrepreneurial projects, and to contribute to increasing the reliance of public, private and civil sectors by providing their services on locally developed technology.

The race provides a national competitive track  for independent developers with the aim of showcasing technological applications as independent entrepreneurial projects and obtaining financial, administrative and technical support and ensuring the launch, operation and success of projects and establishing them as startups.

The first three winners will receive a year and a half of incubation, a cash prize of 50 million liras, which will be spent according to the project plan, and a lot of expertise and experience. Certificates of appreciation will also be awarded for the best entrepreneurial idea, creative application, user experience, and technological application.
