The swimming, athletics and badminton competitions in the Jareeh Al-Watan Tournament concluded

Lattakia (ST): Swimming, athletics and badminton competitions on chairs were concluded as part of the first session of the Jareeh Al-Watan Games in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.

In the swimming competition, Omar Ammar Daoud from Iraq won first place in the 50-meter freestyle race,  followed by Mohammad Al-Jaffal from Syria, then Mustafa Tawfiq from Iraq, while Ahmed Qassem from Iraq won first place in the 25-meter breaststroke race,  followed by Zaher Qaiser from Syria and Mustafa Tawfiq from Iraq. The 25m breaststroke race for the blind category was won by Ibrahim Jahjah, followed by Hossam Merhej and Ehab Al-Ezaby.

 The swimming championship started yesterday with the 25-meter freestyle competition, where the first three places in a row in the paralysis category were won by Amer Salloum, Fayez Azzam and Youssef Shariqi, in the amputation category Muhammad Zaher Qaiser, Mulham Al-Zabadi, Mahmoud Barkawi, in the special category Saleh Ali, Ahmed Jourieh and Muhammad Tweiti, and in the 25-meter butterfly competition Omar Daoud, Youssef Shariqi and Mahmoud Barkawi.

Athletics ended its competitions in javelin throwing for the blind from a standing position, resulting in Ali Ghannoum winning the first place, followed by Azzam Ahmed and Taher Khaddaj, and in throwing the shot-put in sitting, Khalil Mahmoud, then Abdel Rahman Hamroush and Waseem Khaddour.
