The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs condemns the occupation’s attacks on Al-Aqsa

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the firing of bullets and poison gas canisters at the Palestinians who were there to pray and exercise the right to worship.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the committee stressed that these arrogant practices of the Israeli occupation forces that target the Islamic and Christian sanctities of the Palestinians, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, express the ugliness of terrorism practiced by the occupation against the Palestinians, calling on the United Nations and the international community to immediately intervene to stop the aggression and provide international protection for the Palestinians and their sanctities.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian presidency called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the continuous Israeli occupation aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The presidential spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that the occupation forces’ storming of the mosque and its assault on the stationed fighters is a dangerous development and a desecration of sanctities, noting that all international bodies are required to intervene to stop this aggression.

The presidency affirmed that the Palestinian people will not allow the occupation forces and settlers to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque and will defend it at all costs.
