The Sudanese Ministry of Information closes the office of the Qatari (Al Jazeera Mubasher) channel

On January 16th, the Sudanese Ministry of Information issued a decision to close the office of the Qatari (Al-Jazeera Mubasher) channel in Khartoum, and to withdraw the license of its reporter due to its harm to the country’s security and the fabric of Sudanese society.

“Al-Jazeera Mubasher channel’s has an unprofessional approach in covering the Sudanese issue and works to strike the social fabric in the country by broadcasting media content that violates the behaviors, norms, ethics of the profession and the Sudanese people,” Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) quoted the acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Nasr El-Din Ahmed Mohamed Khaled, as saying in a statement.

The decision stressed that Al-Jazeera Mubasher channel broadcasts obscene words and shows inappropriate videos and old scenes, which has led to harming the country’s higher interests and national security.

The decision  stressed that the channel did not comply with the conditions contained in the license granted to it.

Many countries have previously closed the offices of the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel because of its contribution with the Qatari regime since 2011 in implementing the conspiratorial policies of the West against the countries of the region.
