The Specialized Exhibition for Clothes and Textiles yields hundreds of contracts for the export of Syrian clothes
Damascus (ST): The exhibition Made in Syria specialized of clothes, textiles and production requirements spring and summer 2022, which concluded its activities yesterday, resulted in the signing of hundreds of contracts and agreements to export Syrian clothes produced in 430 national companies participating in the exhibition to foreign markets.
The exhibition, which was organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Association of Syrian Exporters of Garments and Textiles, was launched on the third of this month in the Fairs City. It was successful in terms of organization, hosting businessmen and the number of participants, according to the head of the Syrian Exporters Association of Garments and Textiles, Ragheed Al-Halabi, pointing out in a statement to news reporter that the demand was great by Arab businessmen invited to the exhibition.
Al-Halabi explained that some industrialists have vacated their wings after organizing a large number of deals, and all participating companies have concluded export contracts with traders, especially to the Iraqi market.
For his part, a member of the Aleppo Industry Board of Directors and member of the central organizing committee of the exhibition, Muhammad Zizan, explained that 950 businessmen from Iraq, Libya, Algeria, Kuwait, Jordan and the Gulf countries visited the exhibition, in addition to hundreds of businessmen from Syria, pointing out that the participating industrialists concluded good contracts and a number of them reached agreements to have agents in foreign markets.
The coordinator of the Iraqi businessmen delegation, Alaa Al-Nouri, confirmed that through communication with shipping companies, it was found that more than 65 percent of the deals and contracts concluded with the participating industrialists were with Iraqi merchants who have a long history of dealing with Syrian industrialists and the Syrian product, which enjoys an excellent reputation in the Iraqi market.
