The special authorities in Daraa thwart an attempt to smuggle drugs into Jordanian territory

On December 8th, the special authorities in Daraa thwarted an attempt to smuggle quantities of drugs towards Jordanian territory, and arrested the smugglers.

A source in the special authorities stated that “as a result of the monitoring and investigation operations and the cooperation of the people, an attempt to smuggle more than 40 kilograms was thwarted after a clash with the smugglers near the Jordanian border.”

The source added that the smugglers were arrested, along with their weapons.

The source affirmed that the special authorities are intensively pursuing their tasks to combat all forms of trafficking and drug smuggling of all kinds.
