(The Snowman), new stories for young people that carry educational values

Damascus (ST): The new collection of short stories (The Snowman Dreams of Warmth) by writer Kenina Diyab aims to instill educational values in children and young people, and direct them in a moral direction that leads to love, justice, equality, and love of family and friends.

In her stories, Diyab seeks to encroach on the value of care for the mother, of not settling to illness, of not  neglecting duties, and to pursue life properly regardless of the circumstances, especially school duties.

In the stories, Diyab incites interest in studying and love among colleagues, and warns against fraud, deception, and chaos, because they ruin the future, in an exciting, emotional, and honest manner.

Writer Diyab focused on her love of reading and interest in books because they support and develop the cognitive aspect, based on the necessity of combining books and the electronic system in a positive way and not being preoccupied with programs that sabotage mental development and culture.

The stories illustrated by the artist Shatha Samaul emphasized the necessity of love between brothers, lack of jealousy and negative competition, love for grandparents, organizing time and play, and respecting the beautiful memories left by grandparents.
