The signing of the novel “Maryam Square” by the writer Anisa Abboud within the activities of the Syrian Book Fair
Damascus (ST): The great Syrian writer, Anisa Abboud, signed her new novel, “Maryam Square”, as part of the cultural and artistic events at the Second Syrian Book Fair, which is currently being held at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
The novel, which comprised of 479 pages , issued by the Syrian General Book Organization, tells the story of the two lovers Hassan and Sham, who were brought together by dreams of having a child who combines Islam and Christianity.Around this a group of events revolve that invalidate them in a journey mixed with pain and suffering.
In a statement to a news reporter, author Anisa Abboud explains that the novel bears a set of goals, embodied by different characters with successive events and unique places, noting that it talks about the Syrian pain that extends from hundreds of years, to the current pain mixed with times and dates.
It is noteworthy that Anisa Abboud is a Syrian poet, writer and novelist, born in 1957. She is a member of the Arab Writers Union. She is a doctor and researcher in agricultural sciences. She has worked in the Syrian and Arab press since she made her literary path. She has several novels, including (Wild Mint) (black silk) (before eternity with a bullet).
