The signature of the last book by the late researcher Suhail Arousi

The Cultural Center in Al-Hassakah hosted the  signing ceremony of the last book  written by the late researcher Dr. Suhail Arousi, entitled “Christians and Muslims: Dialogue for Cooperation in Solving the Problems of the Age.”

“The  signing ceremony, which was held by the Directorate of Culture in Al-Hassakah and the branch of the Arab Writers Union in cooperation with the “Safsaf Al-Khabour” Cultural Association and the Committee for the Revival of Syriac Heritage, came to celebrate a researcher who was subjected to treachery  to stop his creativity in writing” according to Abdul Rahman Al-Sayyed, Director of Culture in the governorate.

He stressed  the legacy of his peace-loving creativity, harmony and brotherhood remained present after his death  as a continuous call to give priority to the language of dialogue to strengthen and build nations.

In turn, Ibrahim Khalaf, Head of the Writers Union branch, indicated that the vision of the late researcher was based on the principle of what unites us the most that divides us.Khalaf pointed out that the late researcher focused  on the commonalities between religions in terms of worship and goals at the same time on the basis that dialogue between the components of the one nation is a duty to confront terrorism that does not distinguish between a church and a mosque.

For his part,  researcher Ahmed Al-Hussein, head of the board of directors of Safsaf Al-Khabour Association , explained that the late researcher devoted his pen to defending the issues of truth and dignity as well as the heritage of his homeland and his nation.

He indicated that the late researcher  found that part of the dilemmas of Arab reality resulted from crises and international conflicts and desires for expansion, forces and ideological extremism.

The Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Al-Jazirah and Euphrates, Mor Maurice Amseeh, said  “With our love for our homeland, we  confront its  enemy and with the prayers  in mosques and churches  to God we wish to protect our homeland  and  preserve the love and brotherhood that binds the people , and this is the same call that the late researcher called in his research and books, especially the last one.”
