The (SDF) militia continues to kidnap journalists, teachers and human cadres in the Syrian Jezira

Hasakah (ST): The US-backed SDF  militia continues its systematic violations against civilians in the regions of the Syrian Jezira by kidnapping media, educational, partisan cadres and employees of government institutions as part of a policy of intimidation and bullying in an attempt to impose its authority on the people who reject its presence in the region and denounce its arbitrary practices.

These arbitrary practices include kidnapping civilians, stealing property, displacing people, shutting mouths, trying to falsify and changing the history of the region by imposing  their own educational curricula. The fate of the journalists, Mohammad al-Sagheer, the Syrian news channel correspondent and Khaled al-Hassan, the correspondent of Al-Manar channel in the city of Qameshli  is still unknown for more now than a year and eight months after their abduction by the  militia.  This aggressive behavior  intersects with what the terrorist organizations supported by the Turkish regime do in the regions of northern Syria.

The SDF  militia was not satisfied with confronting the demonstrations and protests of the people rejecting its practices and the occupation forces with live bullets and the siege of cities and towns that came out to demand their expulsion, but rather increased the kidnappings of civilians in the countryside of Hasakah, Raqqa and Deir Ezzour.  Within a week, eight teachers from the city of Amuda and the town of Rumailan in Hasakah countryside were abducted  because they teach students according to the curricula of the Syrian Ministry of Education, apart from the continued kidnapping of a number of employees in government service institutions whose fate is still unknown.

The terrorist  militia prevents the teaching of the curricula approved by the Syrian Ministry of Education in the areas that it occupies  and imposes different curricula urging division and making the Arabic language a second language, which sparked resentment among the people who went out more than once in protests against these repressive practices and the aggressive behavior against them.

Civil sources stressed  that during the past few hours, armed groups of the ” militia” raided the homes of citizens in the eastern town of Tal Abyad in the northern countryside of Raqqa and kidnapped the mayor of the town and his son with a number of young men and took them to an unknown destination.

Since the beginning of this month, the sources monitored a noticeable increase in kidnappings that affected cadres, including Muhammad Turki al-Khair, secretary of the Ras al-Ein section of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, and Rashid al-Koud, a member of  Hasakah party branch leadership.

The continuation of the popular movement in Hasaka, Qameshli, Raqqa, Deir Ezzour, and the solidarity of the Arab tribes in various governorates confirm their unity around a clear goal: to stand behind the Syrian Arab Army to expel the occupier and its terrorist organizations from the Syrian soil, put an end to its armed militias and return all areas to the Syrian state.
