The Russian Foreign Ministry Strongly Condemns The Israeli Attacks on Syria and Calls for Their Cessation

The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli aggression on the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, at dawn yesterday, describing it as brutal and dangerous.

Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a press conference today: “We affirm that the continuation of the Israeli attacks on the Syrian territory is a violation of the basic norms of international law and is categorically unacceptable, and we strongly condemn such irresponsible behavior.”

Zakharova pointed out that such unjustified attacks have a negative impact on the efforts to combat terrorism on Syrian territory, calling on the Israeli occupation entity to stop these brutal, fierce and dangerous attacks.

Four soldiers were martyred and three others were wounded as a result of an Israeli air attack at dawn yesterday on some points in the vicinity of Damascus, while our air defenses confronted the aggression’s missiles and shot down some of them.
