The Russian Federation Council condemns the American aggression on the Iraqi-Syrian border area

Moscow (ST):  The First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council, Vladimir Jabarov, condemned today the US aggression on the Iraqi-Syrian border area, stressing that it is “illegal and constitutes bombing of the territories of a sovereign state.”

The spokesman for the US “Pentagon”, John Kirby, admitted in a statement last night that his military forces, at the directives of US President Joe Biden, had attacked the Syrian-Iraqi border area.

The Russian senator told Sputnik that this American bombing is illegal because we are talking about bombing the lands of a sovereign state, pointing out that this step constitutes a dangerous escalation that could lead to an escalation of the situation in the entire region, warning that such actions may lead to a huge struggle.

This aggression comes at a time when the units of the Syrian Arab Army are carrying out a sweeping campaign against the remnants of ISIS terrorists in the Syrian Badia region, during which they have eliminated many terrorists and destroyed their headquarters and dens.
