In conjunction with the Syrian-Russian meeting to follow up the work of the international conference on the return of refugees in Damascus ,the Russian Cultural Center distributed in-kind aid to the families of the martyrs, those who lost breadwinners, and other deserving people.
This aid included food baskets, school bags, winter clothes, school stationery and others.
Nikolay Sukhov” The Head of the Russian Cultural Center, Counsellor Embassy of the Russian Federation” pointed out to Syriatimes in an interview that” the aid which we are distributing today to the people of Damascus is part of the many aid programs provided by Russia to the Syrian people, in coordination with charitable societies.”

The focus was on the families of the martyrs and the families who lost the breadwinner, and this assistance was provided by the Federation of Mechanical Engineers in Syria and the Association of the Union of Defense Institutions.
“Our goal today is to reach to the largest possible number of deserving Syrians in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Administration and the Ministry of Education, Health and Culture”.
Sukhov also indicated that over the past two weeks, 450 tons of aid had arrived via Russian military planes and will be distributed during these days to other syrian governorates.These aids include generators, school equipments, and computers for some schools, in addition to food baskets.
This aid will be distributed by the Russian humanitarian mission, and they are provided by various Russian government agencies.
Natalia Baboga, the Director of the Union of Machinery Manufacturers in Russia, indicated that this aid helps strengthen relations between the Russian and Syrian peoples.
Abeer is one of the beneficiaries of the aid said to syriatimes” I have four children and this aid helps me cover part of their needs and ease the burden of daily expenses. I thank Russia for its support”.
