On May 19th, the Russian Consulate in the American city of Houston announced the resumption of banking services, after they were suspended last March.
“A few days ago, we received a letter of approval to open the bank account and resume banking services,” the Russian Consul General in Houston, Alexander Zakharov, told Sputnik.
Last March, the Bank of America, against the backdrop of the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, froze the accounts of the Russian consulates in Houston and New York.
The Russian Consulate General in New York announced earlier that this problem was solved.
