London (ST): The Russian ambassador to London, Andrei Kelin, warned of Ukraine turning into a black hole for the West, referring to Kiev’s intransigence and its illusion of victory over Russia.
In an interview with the BBC, Kelin said, “Any informal negotiations do not take place because Kiev is very intransigent, and it has the illusion that it is able to achieve victory in this war with Russia, and this is an illusion and an impossible matter, but Kiev cannot give up arms supplies and financing from the West, and here is the problem,” adding: “Any conflict and any war ends behind the negotiating table.”
Kelin pointed out that last April Moscow and Kiev were close to a peace agreement, but “the Ukrainian side changed its mind after obtaining weapons from the United States.”
