The return of 100,905 Syrian citizens through the border crossings with Turkey within two months of liberation

Director of Relations at the General Authority for Land and Sea Ports, Mazen Alloush, confirmed that within two months of the liberation of Syria from the former regime, the border crossings with Turkey received 100,905 of Syrian citizens returning to their homeland.

Alloush said in a statement: 49,485 returnees entered via Bab al-Hawa crossing, 35,834 via Al-Salama crossing, 7,644 via Kassab, 5,504 via Hamam crossing, and 2,438 via Jarabulus crossing.

All services and facilities were provided to them free of charge.

Alloush added: Within two months of the liberation of Syria from the former regime, the Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey received 72,859 Syrian citizen.

The crossing also received dozens of relief, press and diplomatic delegations, and the necessary facilities were provided to them.

“We worked to facilitate the flow of dozens of relief convoys to support our people in Syria”, he pointrd out.

Alloush explained that within two months of the liberation of Syria from the former regime, the Jdeidet Yabus border crossing with Lebanon received 627,287 travellers, including Syrian citizens and Arab and foreign guests.

The crossing also received hundreds of press, diplomatic and relief delegations, and all facilities were provided to them.

Alloush added that during the same period, the Nassib border crossing with Jordan received 174,241 passengers, including Syrian citizens and Arab and foreign guests. The crossing received dozens of press and diplomatic delegations, and the necessary facilities were provided to them.

We also worked to facilitate the flow of relief convoys coming from brotherly and friendly countries to support and provide relief to the Syrian people.

Alloush stated that the Albukamal border crossing received 5,460 Syrian citizens residing in Iraq and returning for final settlement in their homeland, Syria.

The crossing administration facilitated the crossing of dozens of Iraqi and Lebanese citizens, while providing all facilities to ensure a safe and smooth crossing journey for them.
