The Regional Office of the Union of Arab Exporters in Syria launches its economic activities to support national exports

Damascus (ST): The regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, launched its Arab economic activities to support and revitalize national exports, during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.

The ceremony witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the regional office of the union in Syria and the administration of the union of Arab exporters and importers to launch the aforementioned activities and announce the new board of directors for the regional office in Syria.

 

The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers, Musaad Rashid, said in a speech during the ceremony that the future is better for the Syrian economy, and there will be investment plans to boost exports, fight poverty and unemployment, and invest in infrastructure.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Regional Office of the Union in Syria, Mohammad Al-Sawah, confirmed in a similar speech that the office will be supportive for the movement of Syrian exports during the coming period and will contribute to removing the obstacles facing it in all Arab countries, especially those related to transport, remittances, investment and shipping.

In a statement to reporters, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil said that the new launch of the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria was preceded by great preparations in order to activate the work of the office in a way that benefits Syria and to invest all existing energies in the country, whether at the level of the private or governmental sectors.
