The “Qatar Charity” Organization launches the first phase of a project to restore 300 houses in the al-Ghab area

As part of a project aimed at restoring 1,500 houses across Syria, the “Qatar Charity” organization initiated restoration work on 300 houses in the village of Al-Amqiya, in the northwestern countryside of Hama.

This project is being carried out in cooperation with the Emergency Response Team and is a key component of a comprehensive campaign to repair homes damaged by the previous regime’s bombing.
This charitable effort reflects Qatar’s commitment to supporting affected families in northern Syria by rehabilitating damaged housing and improving living conditions. This work aims to restore stability and hope for those returning to their villages after years of displacement.
“We are proud to be part of this project, which aims to bring life back to Syrian villages that have long suffered from war and displacement,” Abdulaziz Haji, Director of Development Operations at Qatar Charity said.
He emphasized that restoring homes is not just about rebuilding walls, it is about restoring dignity, stability, and a future for families in desperate need of safety and support.
Haji added, “This project is a result of generous giving and will be implemented in coordination with local authorities. We will ensure that we target the families most in need and adhere to safety and quality standards in the restoration process to guarantee the sustainability of this humanitarian effort.”
