The prominent Egyptian Singer Hani Shaker visits Syria 

The Egyptian prominent singer “Hani Shaker” is visiting Syria to sing at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus on 15th and16th of the current month at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

On this occasion the singer held a press conference at Dar Al –Assad for Culture and Arts. The press conference was attended by Basil Samakieh, the head of Syrian community in Egypt, and businessman Talal Al-Attar, and a large number of journalists.

The star singer will sing a number of his famous songs that he sang during his artistic career which covers nearly 50 years.

“I am carrying a message of love from the Egyptian people to the Syrian people” Hani Shaker said.

He said that his visit to Syria and his singing here is a new artistic stage for him.

The prominent singer expressed his happiness to sing to Syrian people art after absence of more than 15 years. He promised his fans that love him and welcome him to hold more concerts in all Syrian governorates.

About the song he released on the occasion of his visit to Syria, “Long live Syria… Long live Egypt.” The singer said:” The song is written by Syrian poet Sufouh Shaghalah and the melodies of it were composed by the Egyptian composer Mahmoud Khayami”.

Hani explained that this combination between the Syrian words and the Egyptian melody means building new and advanced artistic relations between Syrian and Egyptiancomposers.

The head of the Syrian community in Egypt Basil Samakieh, referred to the efforts provided by the Syrian community in all its forms to hold this successful ceremony in cooperation with the ministries of tourism, culture, transport and the Syrian Artists Syndicate.
