The People’s Assembly (PA) was notified on Saturday by the Supreme Constitutional Court about three new applications to run for President by the citizens: Haitham Ahmad Al-Makari, Da’ed Mubarak Qanou’ and Mohammad Kamiran Mohammad Jamil Merkhan, the PA Speaker Hammouda Al-Sabbagh announced on Friday.
The number of applications has risen to 17, Al-Sabbagh said.
Applications of nomination for presidency will continue to be submitted to the Supreme Constitutional Court until April 28, 2021.
