The electoral centers in the Governorate of Latakia allocated to voters from the Governorates of Idlib and Raqqa witnessed a good turnout with the start of the electoral process on July 19’s morning amid precautionary measures to address the Coronavirus by voters and polling station supervisors in the centers.
Jassim Al-Sharif, Head of the Euphrates Sport Club, stated that he cast his vote at the Jaafar Al-Sadiq School Center in the Al-Zaqqazaniyah District for the people of Governorate of Raqqa, and chose who represented him in the People’s Assembly for the third legislative term.
Table tennis champion Mujtaba Hallaq stated that he cast his vote in the center designated for the people of Governorate of Idlib at Tishreen University and chose the best candidate who will be the athletes representative in the People’s Assembly.
Ali Hallaq, a member of the Executive Committee of the Sports Union branch in Idlib, after casting his vote at the electoral center in the neighborhood of Sakoubin, stressed that participating in the People’s Assembly elections at this difficult stage that Syria is going through is a challenge and victory that completes the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorists.
Ahmed Al-Sharif, a member of the executive committee of the Sports Federation in the Raqqa branch, stated that participation in the elections reflects the awareness of the Syrian people to the conspiracies against Syria.
In the Governorate of Sweida, the electoral center in the school of martyr Imad Karbaj, designated for voters from Governorate of Idlib, has witnessed a good turnout .
Nasser Fayhan stated that he voted in the elections out of national duty and chose the candidates who are able to convey their voice and demands through the People’s Assembly.
The Head of the Electoral Center Committee for the Idlib’s voters in the Governorate of Sweida Ismail Nassif stated the turnout is good from the voters, pointing to the cooperation and facilities for the success of the work from the Judicial Sub-Committee for Elections.
In the electoral center for the people of the Governorate of. Raqqa at the Muhammad Al-Hindawi School in the Al-Shammas neighborhood in Homs city , the head of the center, Alaeddin Bitar, confirmed that the people of the Governorate of Raqqa came to the electoral center designated for them, confirming their awareness and belonging to their homeland.
Moaz Omar Abdulaziz stated that the voters of Raqqa participated in the election for the selection of their candidates for the People’s Assembly.
For their part, Tammam Al-Hamoud, Hussein Al-Shehadeh, Fatima Al-Jassem and KhatoonAl-Sukhni from the people of the Governorate of Raqqa considered that holding the elections in the current circumstances is a constitutional and national achievement for the benefit of Syria and its people in support of the reconstruction process and the return of its economic, political and social life to its previous era.
