The People

President Bashar Al-Assad determined several significant and strategic points, in his Al-Manar TV interview. Therefore, shedding light on those important factors either at the current or forthcoming stage of the Syrian political status− is a necessity.

     Those points are focusing on a range of concepts in their forehead: putting populace as a supreme reference   regarding any political variable like state structure, sovereign institutions, and future of generations. Secondly, no authority, hand, or power whatsoever should prospect the country’s future, or confiscate popular free will. Since State -People concept is characterized by continuity ; whereas Authority – Government concept is provisional.

   The People according to Mr. President own conception–which is also a stable regulation in International Law and Constitutional Jurisprudence- should determine by its free will  the political structure nature, and its sovereign institutions. This right is the People’s exclusive right, where no power or authority whatsoever can confiscate it. Since, it is linked to the concepts of Popular Sovereignty and Separation of Powers-which have been constitutional and legislative regulation for about two-odd centuries- in addition to wise governance and guidance. Therefore, People is not only a source of authority; but is also the determinant of national, political, and struggle choices that will define friends as well as enemies

     Mr. President has stated another central point whenassociating power balance shift for the benefit of the Syrian Army advancement; side by side with the people’sembrace and conversion for the advantage of the  national vision. Furthermore, his highness has linked the growing public awareness towards the reality of what is happening on the Syrian arena, with the exposure of the misleading processplayed by misinformingmedia machine andits impact on power balance in the ongoing conflict to change Syria’s geopolitical feature.

Finally, Mr. President strongest message via al-Manar TV is that we are all part of the people and are dedicated to it.People is the source of power and legitimacy, having the exclusive right to determine present and future Syria, not any other power. Besides, Geneva Conference and othersare not points of reference, but the only reference isthe Syrian people free and independent willing. Here lies the essence in understanding what is happening on the Syrian arena under failing attempts of deviating and repositioning the Syrian National Authority.
