The participants in the conference of parliaments of countries defending Palestine: the need to confront American-Israeli conspiracies
On January 18th, participants in the virtual international conference of parliaments of states defending Palestine stressed the need to confront the ongoing US-Israeli plots and plans against the Arab and Islamic nations, foremost of which aim at liquidating the Palestinian issue.
The Speaker of the Iranian Shoura Council(Parliament) , Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, warned of the continuation of these conspiracies in parallel with the targeting of the Palestinian issue through the so-called (Deal of the Century), referring to the close relationship between Zionism and terrorism.
Qalibaf explained that the continued Israeli occupation of its crimes against the Palestinians through killing, arresting, demolishing homes and facilities in the West Bank, and continuing its unjust siege on more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for 14 years is a painful human catastrophe.
Qalibaf called on the parliaments supporting the Palestinian cause to unify their positions with the aim of conveying the voices of the Palestinians to the whole world.
For his part, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the Palestinian issue and the adoption of the rights of the Palestinian people to return to their land and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Berri warned of the danger of the Israeli conspiracy against the health sector for the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip as well as in the West Bank and the occupied territories due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
In turn, the Iraqi Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bashir Haddad, expressed his country’s condemnation of the daily violence and violations committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Haddad called on the international community to take practical and realistic measures to support the Palestinian people, to halt the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians, and to confront the attempt to Judaize Jerusalem.
