The Palestinian resistance calls on concerned international organizations to protect archaeological and historical sites in Gaza

The Palestinian resistance has called on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and other relevant international organizations to protect archaeological and historical sites in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to the 85th day of Israeli occupation aggression.

The resistance said in a statement :During its barbaric aggression against the Gaza Strip, the criminal enemy targeted more than 200 historical archaeological sites dating back to ancient times and eras that bear witness to the nobility, authenticity and cultural heritage of our people, in a miserable attempt to erase our national cultural identity, which requires the international community and the United Nations to move in order to stop the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing committed by the Israeli Zionist neo-Nazis against our people, our land, our sanctities, and our cultural monuments.

The Palestinian resistance pointed out the need for UNESCO and other international organizations concerned with protecting archaeological and historical sites to assume their responsibilities regarding the Israeli occupation’s crime of targeting and destroying most of the historical sites and monuments in the Gaza Strip, within the context of the occupation’s comprehensive war against the Palestinian people, their land and their history.
