The Palestinian Prisoners Commission renews its call on international institutions to stop medical negligence in Israeli occupation detention centers

On April 3rd, the Palestinian Prisoners Commission renewed its call on international institutions, human rights institutions and the Red Cross to halt the policy of medical neglect pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities against prisoners.

The commission confirmed in a statement that the occupation authorities continue to deliberately neglect  medical attention, in clear violation of all international conventions and laws related to the right of prisoners to receive treatment.

The commission pointed out that there is deterioration in the condition of a number of sick prisoners in the occupation prisons, including the case of the prisoner Firas Ghanem, who suffers from heart problems and chronic infections in the sinuses.

He has had thyroid problems for years and is currently suffering from weak kidney function and in all parts of the body, and the case of prisoner Nasser Anqawi, who suffers from severe infections in the gums and dental problems.
