The Palestinian National Council: The Israeli occupation must be held accountable for its crimes

The Palestinian National Council has called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take practical measures to hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for the crime of demolishing Palestinian homes in Khirbet Homs al-Fawqain the northern Jordan Valleys in the West Bank.

The Chairman of the Council Salim al-Zanoun stated that the demolition of 76 homes and facilities in Khirbet Homs al-Fawqa and the displacement of dozens of Palestinians, including children, women, the sick and the elderly, is a crime of ethnic cleansing in accordance with international law, the Geneva Conventions and human rights principles.

The Council called on the parliaments of the world to intervene urgently to work to provide shelter for the Palestinians and help them to remain in their lands.

The Council called the international community to force Israel to respect the rules of international humanitarian law and to halt the demolition of Palestinian homes.
