The Palestinian Foreign Ministry Welcomes the UN Resolution Affirming the Right of The Palestinian People to Self-determination

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the adoption by the UN General Assembly of a resolution affirming the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination on the land of their state and their right to independence, freedom and liberation from the Israeli occupation.

The Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement today quoted by the Palestinian WAFA News Agency that the positive vote of the countries gives hope to the Palestinian people that the world will stand by them in the face of genocide, colonial settlement and settler terrorism.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of implementing the General Assembly resolution adopting the International Court of Justice’s legal opinion on the illegality of the Israeli occupation and demanding its termination as soon as possible and to halt the violation of the right of self-determination of the Palestinian people .
