The Palestinian Foreign Ministry renews its demand on the international community to protect civilians in Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Israeli occupation intended to destroy the remaining health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip to put it completely out of service, stressing that the priority in international efforts must focus on protecting civilians and introducing aid in a sustainable manner, which requires an immediate ceasefire.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation forces stormed the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City. It warned of the danger that this would pose to the lives of medical staff, the sick, the wounded, and the displaced people in the complex and its surroundings, including the displaced people in the besieged shelter schools. In addition to the dangers threatening the lives of those who were arrested by the occupation.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the Palestinians are not only victims of the occupation, but also victims of the international failure to impose any measure that would protect them and secure their basic needs, despite the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly and the precautionary order of the International Court of Justice.
