The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns the continued attacks of Israeli settlers against the Palestinian people

On August 6th, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the continuous attacks of the Israeli settlers against the Palestinian people, their properties and their sanctities, the most recent of which was their attacks on Palestinian’s vehicles and property at the northern entrance to Al -Bireh, and in the northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank.

The Ministry said in a statement: “What happened in the village of Barqa and the martyrdom of the young Plaestinian Qusai Maatm, who was shot by one of the settlers, is evidence and witness to the atrocities that are happening daily throughout the Palestinian lands, including acts of terrorism, killing and abuse against the Palestinians with the support and protection of the occupation forces.”

The Ministry added: “The Palestinian people are not only facing the military occupation forces, they are also facing the attacks of the terrorist and armed settlers’ organizations. The aim is to perpetuate the crimes of stealing the Palestinian land and allocating them in favor of settlement expansion, and killing the largest possible number of Palestinians, to break the will of the Palestinian people and undermine their steadfastness.”

The Ministry continued: “The failure to impose international sanctions and prosecutions on Israeli settlement organizations and its elements makes the international community complicit and partner in covering these crimes against the Palestinians.”
