The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on UNESCO to assume their responsibilities by stopping the Judaization of education

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and specialized international organizations concerned with human rights to assume their responsibilities, by intervening urgently to prevent the Israeli occupation from Judaizing education in the occupied Palestinian territories since 1948.

In a statement today, carried by Wafa Palestinian News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the racist decisions issued by the occupation authorities to Judaize education in the occupied territories since 1948, and to impose the occupation narrative on the awareness of the Palestinian generations, by intensifying the restrictive measures on teachers and students, linking the issuance of licenses to schools with the Israeli curricula, and facilitating the directing of racism and accusations against any student ,teacher or educational administrator.

Also ,the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it looks very seriously at the results of these decisions and their repercussions, which aim at  persecuting the national symbols of the Palestinian people by trying to control the awareness of generations, with the aim of pushing them to accept the occupation measures, indicating that Palestinian schools in Al-Quds city also fall within the blatant targeting of those decisions in flagrant violation of the  International law, especially since it comes after what has become known as the occupation’s decision to prevent the raising of the Palestinian flag in educational institutions and universities!
