The Palestinian Foreign Ministry: A dangerous escalation against the Jerusalemites

On January 17thThe Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for urgent international intervention to stop the crime of the Israeli occupation against a Palestinian family that were forced to evacuate their home in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that this crime represents the final test of what remains of the credibility of the United Nations and the international community towards the plans of the Israeli occupation to forcibly displace Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The Foreign Ministry explained that this crime comes within the framework of racist uprooting operations targeting the Palestinian presence in occupied Jerusalem, in a dangerous escalation of the ethnic cleansing operations practiced by the Israeli occupation against Jerusalemites to empty the city of its people and Judaize it.

On January 17th’s morning, the occupation forces forced the Salhia family of Jerusalem to evacuate their house in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and they are still surrounding the house in preparation for its demolition.
