The Palestinian Forces Alliance calls for the protection of prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails

Damascus (ST): The Palestinian Forces Alliance called on the international human rights organizations and institutions and the free people of the world to take a serious stand to protect the prisoners in the jails of the Zionist occupation, especially the patients and detainees in Ramla Prison.

The coalition stated that the crime of  killing prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, who suffered from cancer as a result of medical negligence, and the use of Palestinian prisoners for medical experiments and preventing prisoners from treatment, is a crime that sounds the alarm for hundreds of sick prisoners who suffer from medical negligence.

The coalition said: “We hold the occupation authorities responsible for this crime, and we also call on the international institutions to do their duty to stop the policy of medical negligence and the premeditated execution of prisoners.”

The prisoner Abu Hamid, 50, died after long suffering from lung cancer, which was exacerbated by the occupation authorities refusal to transfer him to a hospital in the West Bank or to release him, despite the serious deterioration in his health since August 2021, in flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and international treaties for the protection of prisoners.
