The Pakistan-Syrian Business Council discusses the development of trade cooperation between the two countries

Islamabad (ST): The Syrian-Pakistani Joint Business Council discussed in its third session, ways and mechanisms of developing trade cooperation between Syria and Pakistan in various fields, including health, food and service, in the interest of the peoples of the two countries.

The Chargé d’Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in Islamabad, Ambassador Mazen Obeid, referred during the meeting to the possibility of exporting Syrian products to Pakistan, praising Pakistani efforts exerted to develop trade with Syria.

Obaid pointed to the aspects that the Syrian market needs in the stage it is currently experiencing, reviewing Investment Law 18 of 2021, which allows investors to work in Syria while ensuring their rights.

The meeting was attended from the Syrian side by the third Secretary of the Syrian Embassy in Islamabad Nowruz Muhammad, and from the Pakistani side by the Pakistani Ambassador in Damascus Muhammad Saeed Khan, Deputy Chairman of the Pakistani Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Omar Masoud Rahman, Chairman of the Pakistani-Syrian Joint Business Council Ali Raza Rizvi and a number of businessmen and women in Pakistan.
