The opening of a field hospital in Aleppo

Today, the Ministry of Health opened Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Field Hospital in Al –Hamdania neighborhood in Aleppo, with a capacity of 120 beds, including 40 care beds. 

The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al –Ghobash, said in a statement to reporters that the equipment of the hospital came with the support of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, as part of the humanitarian response to the Covid19 and in support of the health sector in Syria

Dr. Al –Ghobash pointed out that the hospital contains sections of intense care with all its equipment, three operating rooms, and a section for radiation equipped with advanced medical lab to conduct all kinds of laboratory analysis.

In turn, the Chargé d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates in Syria, Abdul Hakim Al -Nuaimi, explained that the field hospital was submitted from the Emirati people to the brotherly Syrian people, with the aim of helping to confront theCovid 19

The governor of Aleppo Hussein Diab and theSecretary of the Aleppo University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Dr. Ibrahim Hadid, participated in the opening ceremony.
