The occupation strons into Al-Shifa medical complex and continues the genocide in Gaza for the 40th day
Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – At dawn today, the Israeli occupation forces stormed into Al-Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza, after bombing and besieging it for the sixth day in a row as part of its continuing aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip for the 40th day.
Wafa News Agency reported that the occupation’s tanks stormed into the complex’ courtyard from the western side, amid heavy gunfire and the deployment of snipers around the complex. The occupation forces also stormed into new surgical and emergency buildings, and shot everyone who tried to leave the complex, including the sick, the wounded, the medical staff, and the displaced. They asked everyone in the complex to gather in the middle of its eastern courtyard in preparation for its evacuation.
Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila affirmed that the occupation forces commit a new crime against humanity, the medical staff and the sick people by storming, bombing and besieging Al-Shifa Medical Complex, warning of the catastrophic consequences of this intrusion.
It is noteworthy that Al-Shifa Medical Complex includes about 650 patients, 100 are intensive care patients and premature infants, in addition to about 500 medical personnel, and 10,000 displaced children, women and the elderly, in difficult conditions as a result of the power outage due to the depletion of fuel.
More than 40 injured people, patients in the intensive care unit, and premature babies were killed as a result of the lack of oxygen, due to the bombing of the obstetrics station and the depletion of fuel in the complex.
The bodies of 179 martyrs in the hospital were buried in a mass grave inside the complex, while dozens of bodies are still scattered in the hospital’s courtyards and corridors as a result of the power outage from the morgues’ refrigerators.
25 out of 35 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, and 52 out of 72 health care centers, have been out of service since the start of the aggression on the 7th of last October, while 202 martyrs of health personnel and 36 of the Civil Defense have risen martyrs, in addition to injuring more than 200 health personnel and the destruction of 55 ambulances.
