The Israeli occupation forces wound a number of Palestinians in the West Bank

 On September 12th, a number of Palestinians were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces attacking them near the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah in the West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the Israeli occupation forces stationed at one of its checkpoints near the town fired poison gas canisters at the Palestinians, causing a number of them to suffocate.

A number of Palestinian students were also injured as a result of the occupation forces’ suppression of a demonstration by school students in the town of Tuqu’ in the city of Bethlehem in support of the prisoners in its detention.

Ma’an News Agency reported that the occupation forces fired bullets and poison gas canisters at the protesters, causing a number of students to suffocate.

In turn, a comprehensive strike took place in the cities of Jenin and Tubas in the West Bank to denounce the continuing crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian prisoners.

Palestinian media reported that the strike called by the Palestinian national forces included all aspects of economic, educational and service life.

Since six prisoners managed to liberate themselves last Monday through a tunnel dug in the Gilboa detention camp, the Israeli occupation has waged a campaign of repression and abuse against the prisoners by intensifying storming and assaulting prisons, isolating them in solitary cells, fighting them over the quantity of food and water, and depriving them of visiting their families.

Last Friday and Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested four of the six Palestinian prisoners who liberated themselves from Gilboa detention center.

Hundreds of Palestinians were injured during the past few days as a result of the occupation’s suppression of demonstrations in support of prisoners in separate areas of the West Bank.
