The occupation forces sweep away the Palestinian lands in the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem

The Israeli occupation forces swept away swathes of Palestinian lands in Wadi al-Rababah neighborhood in Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem.

Palestinian media quoted a member of the Silwan Land Defense Committee, Khaled Abu Tayeh, as saying that the occupation forces stormed the agricultural lands of the neighborhood with a number of bulldozers, fired sound and poisonous gas canisters at the Palestinians there, to force to  leave  their lands .

Abu Tayeh indicated that the neighborhood’s lands have been exposed for several months to bulldozer sweeping and vandalism by the occupation forces and in preparation for its  seizure and  the expansion of settlement operations.

During the past years, the occupation authorities seized 100 dunums of the neighborhood’s lands to establish a settlement outpost. They continue to seize more lands to implement their Judaizing settlement plans, especially in the areas near Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers stormed the town of Qusra, south of Nablus in the West Bank and  uprooted and stole 130 olive seedlings.

‘ Ghassan Douglas’ an official in the settlement resistance file in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that settlers stormed Palestinian agricultural lands in Shaab Al-Kharab area, east of the town, and uprooted 130 olive seedlings and stole them.

Last week, the occupation forces uprooted and stole more than 1,500 trees and olive seedlings from lands in the villages of Deir Ballut in Salfit and Fukin in Bethlehem and Jalud in Nablus.
