Jakarta, (ST) – The Indonesian authorities announced on Tuesday that the number of victims of the earthquake that struck yesterday in Java province, western Indonesia, with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale, has risen to 252.
Reuters quoted the local authorities in the province as saying on its Instagram channel that the death toll from the earthquake that struck the Indonesian region of Cianjur, West Java yesterday, rose to 252 dead and 377 injured, while 31 people are still missing.
A previous toll indicated that 162 people were killed as a result of this earthquake.
