The NPF conference is a step in the right direction to advance the performance of the Front

Under the Patronage of President Bashar Al-Assad, the 11th conference of the National Progressive Front (NPF) kicked off on Monday at the Sahara Complex in Damascus Countryside.

The conference is held marking the 50th foundation anniversary of the NPF which constitutes the pillar of national unity.

Deputy Head of the NPF, Major General Mohammad Al-Shaar represented President Al-Assad in the conference.

He stressed that the  NPF formed a qualitative state in Syria and established partisan and political pluralism and embodied the desired national unity.

“The clarity of the vision and the insight of the late President Hafez Al-Assad was the basis for calling for the establishment of the front and developing a correct conception of its concept that represented in the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party,” Major General Al-Shaar said.

He pointed out that the Western Atlantic countries, through threatening the security of the Russian Federation, followed a similar method they followed in planning and implementing the dirty war on Syria in terms of media hysteria and the illegal economic, political and cultural measures that were imposed on our country and are now imposed on Russia.

“The American method is to destabilize the countries that It opposes its reckless policy that has already been implemented in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and currently the Russian Federation,” Major General Al-Shaar added.

He expressed his hope and confidence that the conference, through the central leadership of the front and its parties, would consolidate a number of concepts, most notably “President Al-Assad’s vision and his clear political principles based on social and national awareness” and “the front’s progressive thought that will confront the takfiri intellectual challenges, strengthen national unity and defend sovereignty, and continuous communication with citizens who are the compass that drives the parties.

He indicated that the Front relied in its plans on basic pillars, including continuing the fight against terrorism, drying up its sources, steadfastness in the face of the siege and mitigating its effects, supporting the armed forces, caring for the families of the martyrs and the wounded, providing them with assistance to alleviate their suffering and strengthening the relationship with the Arab, national and international parties that support our core issues and solidarity with the forces of Resistance.

Major General Al-Shaar expressed his wishes that the conference will issue important and realistic decisions, recommendations and proposals to achieve a qualitative progress in the work of the Front in response to the requirements of the developments at all levels and the growing dangers surrounding the whole world and the region in particular, indicating that the conference constitutes a step in the right direction to advance the performance of the Front as a leading political institution.

For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Central Leadership of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party, Hilal Al-Hilal, stressed the importance of reviewing the past stages of the front’s work, taking into account all the qualitative transformation witnessed by Syria and major events experienced by the Arab nation, the region and the world as a whole to enhance the positives and address the negatives with transparency and clarity.
