Damascus (ST):  Palestinian folklore, with its rich elements, was embodied by the artist Hanan Ibrahim through her thirty paintings in her first solo exhibition, which opened yesterday at the Arab Cultural Center in (Abu Rumaneh).
Through her paintings, artist Hanan combined the realism, impressionism and abstraction, using literal formations, through which she introduced Palestinian folklore into the details of the painting and nature.
In her paintings, she focused on the Palestinian dress worn by the women of Palestine, which differs according to each region, in addition to her use of elements of Palestinian heritage, such as the straw bowl and the jar. She used oil colors on canvas, embodied some paintings with a feather and others using a drawing knife as required by the subject and what serves the work.
Abdel Muti Abu Zaid, head of the Palestinian Plastic Artists Union, said: “The exhibition, which is the first for artist Hanan, embodies her long experience in the history of the Palestinian heritage in all its vocabulary, especially the dress and Palestinian cities,” noting that she gave her paintings a human movement that made the mother the hero of her paintings.
Artist Hanan confirmed that she embodied, through her exhibition  the Palestinian woman and the Palestinian dress, by making the woman a symbol of nostalgia and that the Palestinian heritage is her beautiful world, considering that the Palestinian dress is an integral part of the Palestinian identity and is a very beautiful painting.
