The new season of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad starts tomorrow

Damascus (ST): With the participation of 6800 male and female students from different governorates, the competitions of the new season of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for the year 2023 will start tomorrow.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement that the first phase tests will be held tomorrow for over an hour and a half, at the same time in various governorates, with automated and standardized question forms in the disciplines of “mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics” with the aim of measuring mathematical thinking and logical judgment students have.

The authority noted that the new season’s competitions witnessed an encouraging turnout of 6800 students from the first secondary grade from various governorates who fulfilled the scientific conditions required to participate, including the first Olympiads for Mathematics and Science, who numbered 94 students from the basic education stage “seventh and eighth”, which is a new and larger number. compared to recent years.
