The National Earthquake Center announced that 22 aftershocks were recorded from 8 am until 9:30 pm yesterday.
The center stated that the seismic and tectonic situation tends to be stable, as the centers of tremors greater than 4 degrees were located at the Turkish mainland, while weak aftershocks of less than 5 degrees and a limited number of moderate aftershocks will continue to be recorded from time to time.
The center announced earlier that 61 weak aftershocks were recorded during the past 24 hours until eight in the morning.
The center’s director, Dr. Raed Ahmed, explained that according to these data, the seismic situation is limited, medium aftershocks and a number of weak aftershocks, meaning that it takes on the nature of interim stability.
He said that the sea level is within the normal situation, calling on people not to be drawn into believing rumors and to rely only on the information provided by the center.
