The national delegation leaves Damascus for Geneva to participate in the third round of the constitutional amendment discussion committee

A short while ago, the Syrian national delegation left on board a private plane from Damascus International Airport for Geneva to participate in the third round of mini-talks to discuss amending the Syrian constitution. The delegation will start its work tomorrow morning and continue until next Friday.

The initial talks held with the participation of 45 members, 15 for each delegation (the national delegation, the civil society delegation and the opposition delegation).

The (small) national delegation consists of Dr. Ahmed Al-Kuzbari (co-chair of the committee), Dr. Amal Yazigi, Dr. Essam Hazimeh, d. Jamila Al-Shorbaji, Dr. Muhammad Khair Al-Akam, d. Ashwaq Abbas, d. Haitham Al-Tas, Akram Al-Ajlani, Amjad Issa, Jamal Al-Qadri, Darin Suleiman, Abdullah Al-Sayed, Riyadh Tawz, Nizar Skeif, and Ahmed Arnous.

The delegation underwent a PCR examination before leaving, provided that it would undergo another test upon arrival in Geneva and before heading to its residence.

The national delegation is not accompanied by a Syrian media delegation, due to the strict Swiss procedures for arrivals who are subject to a 14-day quarantine period, bearing in mind that the participating delegations will be excluded from the quarantine period.
