The “Motex Khan Al-Harir” Exhibition 2024 reflects Syrian industries’ development

Despite all the difficult circumstances that Syria is going through after more than 12 years of war on the country, the “Motex Khan Al-Harir” Exhibition Spring-Winter 2024 shows the great efforts that are being exerted to keep the high-quality “Made in Syria” products  alive and to re-export them to world markets.

“Potenza and Alberto Mani” Company for Leather and Women’s and Children’s Clothing is among the companies that are participating in the exhibition, which is the Syrian specialized export exhibition in the world of fashion, fabrics and production supplies.

The company’s director, Mohamed Sabbagh, told Syria Times e-newspaper that the exhibition is an opportunity to promote national products in foreign markets, stimulate local markets in the country, and support industrialists.

He indicated that the company shows 3 types of medical shoes for children under the age of 14 and for men besides sportswear and clothing made of natural leather.

Sabbagh pointed out that the company is participating for the first time in the exhibition, and he noted the strong purchasing movement and the presence of Arab delegations from various countries, including Iraq and Libya, who expressed their admiration for the company’s product, especially since it offers high-quality goods at a prices lower than that of similar Chinese or Turkish products.

For his part, the executive director of the “Masarat Express” Shipping Company Ahmad Asi told us that the company has 50 branches in Syria.

“The company plays a role in industrial and commercial fields. It connects between merchants and industrialists to exchange products at the level of all governorates and provide shipping services regarding postal parcels for individuals, such as letters, envelopes, and non-commercial use purposes,” Asi added.

Asi considered that the huge participation in the exhibition proves the success of the Syrian industries in overcoming the crisis and becoming competitive at the level of neighboring countries.

“The company offers a shipment tracking service for customers via WhatsApp or text messages as soon as the shipment reaches the specified destination,” he clarified.

He concluded by saying that the company has a well-qualified and trained team in the field of shipping and logistics and they are fully prepared to address any challenges facing customers.

The Director-General of the “Al Serafi” Company for International Cargo Mohamed Riad Al-Serafi, told us: “ The company was founded in 1994 and it is specialized in the field of international cargo and customs clearance. The importance of participation in this event is represented by the return of the industrial textile product, which has a great position in global markets.”

He described the “Motex” exhibition, as the “ambassador” of Syrian products all over the world.

“Textile is the backbone of the industry, and the company aims to support small, medium workshops as the textile sector consists of small workshops but in large numbers, and these workshops are unable to deliver their products.  The company contributes to securing partial production requirements through its services so that these workshops can provide a new product to the markets. The partial shipping service was launched through “Motex” to support the industrial sector,” Al Serafi said.
