Prague (ST): The Moravian Czech Communist Party affirmed its rejection of any foreign military presence in the Czech lands or the passage of NATO military convoys through it on its way to Eastern Europe.
In a statement today, the party’s Central Committee stressed the need to work to reduce tension in Europe and resolve the crisis in Ukraine through diplomatic means, through the Normandy formula, for example, and based on international law, the United Nations Charter and the Minsk agreements.
In its statement, the Committee condemned the Czech government’s sending of ammunition to Ukraine, warning that with this step it contributes to increasing tension in Europe, the danger of war, and the preparations made by NATO in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
