The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor reviews ways of cooperation with FAO

Damascus (ST):  The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Seif El-Din, discussed with the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Syria John Francis O’Brien, existing cooperation relations with the Organization and ways to develop and strengthen them.

 

Minister Seif El-Din indicated that the Organization is an important partner and supports the work of the ministry, and there are plans to evaluate the work of the technical teams, exchange experiences with them, and enhance the programs and services provided by the World Food Program through civil partners.

For his part, O’Brien expressed the Organization’s readiness to provide support and enhance cooperation with the ministry in many areas through capacity building and identifying people who need support, pointing out that there are successful experiences of the Organization in this field.
