The Ministry of Defense mobilizes its units and institutions to help the people affected by the earthquake

Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Defense announced the mobilization of its units, formations and institutions to provide immediate aid and urgent assistance to the population affected by the earthquake in all governorates.

The ministry said in a statement today that “the Ministry of Defense is mobilizing all its units, formations, and institutions in all governorates to provide immediate aid and urgent assistance to the people affected by the earthquake, to search for people trapped under the rubble, to aid the injured, and to remove traces of destruction.”

The Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the earthquake that struck at dawn today in the north of Iskenderun, affecting most areas in Syria, has risen to 237 deaths and 639 injuries, mostly in Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama and Tartous.
