The Ministry of Culture Receives an Official Invitation to attend the Founding Meeting of the Asian Alliance for Safeguarding the Cultural Heritage in China
The Syrian Ministry of Culture has received an official invitation to attend the founding meeting of the Asian Alliance for Safeguarding the Cultural Heritage, scheduled to be held next April in China with the participation of 30 countries.
During her meeting with the Ambassador of China in Damascus Shi Hongwei Minister of Culture Labana Mshawweh emphasized the depth of historical relations between the two countries, and the importance of increasing cooperation between them in various cultural fields.
According to the official page of the Ministry of Culture on facebook, the two sides praised the great success and turnout witnessed by the Syrian Antiquities Exhibition in China, which toured several Chinese cities and was greatly welcomed.
They also discussed the possibility of holding an exhibition of the Chinese antiquities in Syria, stressing the importance of cooperation in the project of documenting and digitizing antiquities, translating great books about the Chinese literature within the project of the national plan for translation, and exchanging training grants.
The Chinese ambassador handed the Minister of Culture an official invitation to visit China to participate in the founding meeting of the Asian Alliance for Safeguarding Cultural Heritage next April.
